What to keep in mind when leaving a rating

Updated

If you are the buyer

  • Leave an honest rating. Keep in mind that the review you give your counterpart will affect his or her future sales.

  • Try to rate the deal in accordance with the promises made by the seller. If you leave a detailed rating – a happy customer usually leaves a five star rating – remember to judge the the deal with the item description and other information the seller has provided in mind.

  • Don’t leave a negative rating before trying to get in touch with the seller. Negative reviews are generally rare on Tradera. They are usually posted when something has gone wrong with the deal, e.g. if you did not receive your item or if it did not correspond with the seller’s description. Contacting your counterpart before posting a negative review is important. Often times a mutual solution can be reached.

  • If the payout is delayed due to being under Review by Tradera you shoulnd't hold that against the buyer. Check instead when the payment was made since the buyer don't have any say in the review process.

They are usually posted when something has gone wrong with the deal, e.g. if you weren’t paid or could not get in touch with the buyer. Can’t get in touch via e-mail? Try calling the buyer, this usually yields good results.
